Two pair of eyes and the right skills

Our translators only translate into their native languages. All have academic training and the linguistic ability and specialist knowledge necessary to deliver a top-quality translation. Another translator always reviews their work before we send the finished document to you.

Translation memories and terminology databases

We use the latest translation software from the leading providers. These programs effectively act as a vast database that stores every word and sentence we translate. This means we can track how we have translated a specific term or phrase in the past, enabling us to provide you with correct and consistent terminology. When you join us as a new client, we always go through the terms and phrases that are important to you and your business.

On-time delivery

For us, it goes without saying that we will deliver your translation within the agreed time frame. Our contracts entitle many of our clients to compensation in the event of late delivery. We document all deadlines and can provide you with detailed data on our delivery performance.

The big picture

Once we receive your request we start by reviewing the copy you want translated. We then contact you to agree a delivery time and discuss other relevant aspects. The more we know about you and your document, the better our quote will be. Naturally, we treat all copy with full confidentiality. Requests sent via our client portal are encrypted in TSL 128 bits, which is especially important for projects subject to strict non-disclosure terms.

CAT analysis and translation memory

When all the relevant facts are known, we analyse your copy using computer-assisted translation (CAT) software. CAT software divides the copy into small portions and compares these with each other and with previous translations to identify regularities and repetitions. We offer a 70% discount on our standard word rate for repetitions from past translations and a 40% on so-called "fuzzy matches".

Detailed quote

Our translation management system (TMS) is the backbone of our business and stores everything relating to your quote: documents, analysis, notes and so on. The TMS allows us to start the translation process as soon as we have received the go-ahead from you. Once we have all the relevant information, we will send you a quote that specifies price, proposed delivery date and an analysis of how much money you will save by choosing us.

Translation

The translation process begins the moment you approve our quote. Our project manager checks that everything is in order and gives the translator the green light to start. The translator accesses the documents, background material and instructions from our translators' portal. After double-checking the copy for spelling, formatting and language consistency, the translator uploads the finished translation to the portal.

Review and delivery

When the translation is ready we forward the documents to our proofreader via the portal. The proofed documents are then uploaded to the portal to be quality checked by the project manager prior to delivery, as agreed – either via the portal or by email.

Security and traceability

Our TMS operates as the hub for all file transfers and allows us to guarantee 100% security throughout the entire translation chain. All transfers are encrypted and the process is fully traceable. If anything were to go wrong between translation and delivery, we can quickly pinpoint where and how. The TMS also provides you with unlimited access to all translations from past projects.

Follow-up

Our ability to meet your demands and expectations depends on our being able to follow up the translations we deliver. This is especially important in the early stages of a new client relationship. We welcome as much information as possible about what you think about our services. Feedback can cover anything from document formatting and choice of words and terminology to the service provided by our project manager.

Feedback

We store all your feedback, especially when it relates to formatting, terminology and writing style. This enables us to tailor future projects to your specific needs. A week or two after delivery we will send you a short questionnaire asking for your views. The survey takes less than a minute to complete and there is space to add comments. Participation is optional but we appreciate your feedback and value it highly.

Statistics and history in our portal

Our customer portal gives you access to all your previous quotes and projects, including order confirmations and completed documents. It also serves as a powerful reporting tool that can reproduce quotes and orders as graphical data, for instance showing your projects by month and language, average order value and CAT discounts over a selected time frame. We also offer you a reporting package if you wish to customise this data. Ask your key account manager for further details.
